Dry Skin Products
If the skin around your eyes and lips is patchy, dull and flaky, then you probably have dry skin. Flaky and dull skin all over is also an indication of dry skin. With dry skin you should avoid using soap on your skin, particularly on your face. Dry skin becomes worse during winter and cold weather and maintaining healthy moisture becomes difficult as you age.
Never have hot shower or baths, as the hot water strips your body of natural oils. Lukewarm showers for ten minutes or less, are best for a person with dry skin. Moisturizing soaps are the best skin care product for your whole body; avoid regular soaps, as these are too harsh. Always moisturize your skin and blot or pat dry your face, instead of vigorously rubbing with a towel. Toners are not the best skin care products for a person with dry skin, as the alcohol dries your skin too much.
Oily Skin Products
Oily skin is extra prone to blemishes and pimples, due to the build up of excess sebum in the skin. The best skin care product for oily skin in terms of cleansers is a deep cleansing formula. A deep cleansing skin product will help keep excess oil in check and help prevent pimples and blemishes. Toners are also the best skin care products to use when you have oily skin. Toners will help to deep cleanse and eliminate black heads and blemishes that mar perfect skin. Another thing to keep in mind when you have oily skin is to use a light moisturizer that is oil free. This is very important, otherwise your complexion will feel greasy and you will have a shiny face.
Seven Ways To Healthy Skin
- Determine your skin type. It can be normal, dry, oily, combination or sensitive. What may be good for your friend may not suits you because all of us have different skin types. People with different skin types should use skincare products that suit them. Check the labels.
- Wash your face in the morning and at night. This will help to get rid of dirt and other things on your face. To see how dirty the air is, you can try to use a piece of cotton pad with makeup remover to clean your face after a long day without makeup. The cotton pad is quite dirty after cleaning your face. Use lukewarm water to wash your face.
- Reduce your level of stress. If you do not handle stress well, it will harms your skin or you may see an outbreak of acne. Relax by taking a break, going for a massage, or going for a spa. This will definitely help to make your skin look better.
- Be gentle on your skin and do not use too much strength when you scrub or exfoliate.
- Make sure your skin remains moist. In places with low humidity, your skin may crack easily. In addition, you may find wrinkled skin. Your skin may appear dull. To prevent this, use moisturisers. When your skin is still damp after washing, apply the product to your skin so that it can work well.
- Do not use soap on your face. Separate your cleansing products for the face and body.
- Protect yourself from the UV rays by using sunblock lotion. Apart from your face, use them on your body. Wearing long-sleeved tops can help protect your skin as well. UV rays are present even if the sun is not out, so remember to follow this tip even when it is cloudy.
